Who We Are
Bringing together experience, trust and a clear, hands-on approach to every project.
Our Values
Better Future
All of our projects consider sustainability. We are committed to a carbon neutral future.
Better Together
People are the most important parts of projects, we value good communication and collaboration on all of our projects.
Better Knowledge
We are always improving ourselves. We have regular CPD sessions, and implement all new technologies when we can.
Where We Came From
Our story began in 2010, when the team came together to deliver three major PFI schools in Bridgwater as part of a £65 million programme through Futures for Somerset — a local education partnership established with Somerset Council to deliver schools and educational buildings across the county.
Over the life of Futures for Somerset, the team successfully delivered more than £300 million of projects, building a strong reputation for project management, estates advice and delivering high-quality educational spaces.
With the partnership drawing to an end in late 2025, the team was not ready to step away from the work they were passionate about. The three directors came together to establish WMC Partnership, creating a new company that continues to provide the same trusted services, while opening the door to new opportunities beyond the previous local authority partnership model.
We have been incredibly fortunate that many of our longstanding clients have continued their journey with us through this transition. Trusts, schools and sixth-form providers remain keen to work with our team, giving WMC Partnership a strong foundation built on trusted relationships and proven delivery.
Education remains at the heart of what we do, and it is where our experience is strongest. However, with greater independence, we are also excited to expand our work across a wider range of sectors, bringing the same practical, client-focused approach to every project we undertake.
How We Work
At WMC Partnership, we take a collaborative and personal approach to every project. As a multi-disciplinary team, each member brings their own specialist expertise, giving clients access to a broad range of knowledge and practical advice.
We have built strong relationships with trusted contractors and consultants across numerous counties, helping us draw on a reliable supply chain to support successful delivery. We also believe in maintaining a strong onsite presence— whether that means regular local visits or travelling further afield, we make every effort to be on site, build relationships face-to-face and stay closely involved throughout delivery.
As a small team, we pride ourselves on building genuine client relationships. Much of our work comes through repeat business and word of mouth, reflecting the trust clients place in us and the personal service we provide.
Where We Are
WMC Partnership is proudly based at The Collar Factory in Taunton — a beautifully restored Grade II listed former Victorian factory, reimagined as a modern workspace in the heart of Somerset. With its mix of character, heritage and contemporary design, it provides an inspiring setting for our team and a welcoming environment for clients visiting us.
Our office is located on the ground floor, making it easily accessible for visitors, with step-free access and convenient facilities on site. The Collar Factory is also well connected, just a short walk from Taunton railway station, with strong road links via the M5, A38 and A358, making travel straightforward for clients across Somerset and beyond.
Who We Are
We are a small, close-knit team of experienced project managers, estates professionals and technical specialists, brought together by a shared passion for delivering great spaces. With a team of 6 professionals, we combine a wide range of expertise across project management, bid writing, estates advice, sustainability and technical delivery.
What sets us apart is our personal approach — clients get to know the people behind the projects, build genuine relationships with our team and benefit from direct access to experienced professionals who care about delivering the right outcome.
What We Pledge
At WMC Partnership, we believe successful projects should create value beyond the buildings themselves. That means making thoughtful decisions about who we work with, how we operate and the wider impact of our work.
Where possible, we aim to appoint locally based contractors and consultants for each project, helping support local economies, reduce unnecessary travel and strengthen community connections. We also place importance on social value and sustainability within our supply chain, working with partners who share our commitment to responsible delivery — and ensuring those commitments are followed through in practice.
Within our own business, we actively look for ways to reduce our environmental impact, including maintaining a largely paperless office and supporting flexible home working where appropriate to reduce commuting-related carbon emissions.
We also believe in giving back locally, whether that’s through community initiatives such as litter picking along the South West Coast Path, or through the way we support projects that create lasting social benefit.
